  1. Very nice!! Wish the rain would stop here so I could get out and groom my llamas.

  2. Lovely photo. I do have a question though. I've noticed when you shear the llamas it's only in that middle section. Is there a reason for that? Is that the best area? Just curious about that one.

  6. Tollykit: It took weeks for things to dry out enough for us to shear this summer. We never did get them all done.

Pricilla: Yes, Dee is very elegant and regal!

Theresa: This is what is called a "barrel cut". That is the prime fleece and the llamas stay warmer if I leave the rest on for the winter.

Linda: Thank you! The bear hasn't been back (knock on wood).

Melissa: Yes, she's a BIG girl and she just turned three so that should be as big as she gets. Her Sire is huge, too.

    Nancy: Thank you!

We will be showing Dee at the LOCC Fall Classic Llama Show over Labor Day weekend. We hope she follows in her Sire's footsteps. He's a multiple Grand Champion with his ALSA Halter Champion title!

  16. Lin: You're right, they DO look like a poodle, don't they?!

Jackie: Thank you! They are fabulous creatures and make our lives complete.

    Theresa: You're welcome!

    Meghann: Thank you!

BT: She does, but she's not full of herself, just very much the Grande Dame!

    PJ - Thanks!

Karen @ WOS: Ha! You and me both!

FOS: Some people shear them completely naked and I think it looks horrific. They act like they're horrified to look that way, too! They'd freeze here in the winter if I sheared them like that though.

Daisy: Yes, she knows she's hot stuff. Thanks!
