What's really caught my eye, 2nd look, is how you really do show them shaved of their fiber! I remembered the "hair cut" from your earlier demonstration of the harvest. So that kind of cut (or not) is fine for showing a champion? It sure shows off their little waists!!

ReplyDeleteAwards are so nice does it help to get a better price if you sell them or their wool? I really don't recall ever seeing a Llama up close or know anything about them so your blog is a cool way to let people like me know more. Congrats to your winners and you as the breeder.

ReplyDeleteKaren: Yes, most people shear their llamas for shows. It cuts grooming time by about 75% which equates to less stress for the animal AND the groomer! and it does make it easier for a judge to see their conformation without having to put hands on to get a better idea.
They are all so beautiful! Congratulations again!
