Lalo is finally a "big boy". He can now jump up on the counter and then the refrigerator to get to the cat food. We have to put the cat food on top of the fridge because if our dogs eat it they get the runs and OMG the mess is horrific! There is a small space on the countertop next to the fridge between the microwave and the bread machine where the cats can fit but the YorkiePoo (who also like to jump on the counters) cannot. Last night Lalo spent his first night out in the Great Room rather than by himself in the bathroom and he did fine. Although there was quite a bit of romping around right after we went to bed, things settled down and when I got up at 1 AM to let Courtney cat in, everyone was sound asleep.
What a beautiful cat....but of course I am partial to my Sherpa

Lalo is growing up to be such a handsome little guy!! Does he yaoul (talk) like a Siamese cat?

ReplyDeleteWe're fairly certain that Lalo is at least half Tonkinese, which is a cross between Siamese and Burmese. He is a Champagne Mink color and an absolutely sweetheart. And no, he doesn't yowl like a Siamese (thank goodness) - he has the sweetest little kitten meow ever. He is very smart and incredibly affectionate. His eyes used to be a very deep intense blue but they are more aqua blue now, which is what the Champagne Mink Tonkinese normally have.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty cat that is. I know how bad it can get when a dog eats cat food. I had a chocolate lab once that loved to eat the cat food and not only the runs but the nasty gas....lol
ReplyDeleteWow, he looks so much like Yum Yum! But, this reminds me of things to come...when she can jump on the counters: the food will no longer be safe. I guess we need to enjoy this time while we can :)
ReplyDeleteLalo is such a cutie! My favorite spot used to be on top of the refrigerator. It is safe and high and warm! But this house has cabinets built all around so I cannot get up there. Rats.

ReplyDeleteWhen we had cats the dogs always ate their food too. No runs, but Oy they got chubby.
