Welcome to Springtime in the Rockies! Don't like the weather? Wait five minutes...it'll change! Here's what we woke up to this morning. Six inches of the heavy white stuff! We're under a Winter Storm Warning until 9 AM tomorrow. We could get up to 15 inches of this stuff!
But inside, we have a roaring fire keeping us toasty warm.
And in the breakfast room - which is more of a "mud room" just inside the back door - the geraniums are in full bloom. Ah yes, Springtime in the Rockies!
I posted 15 pictures on my Facebook page. Go

Oh, my.....what weather you guys are having.....I hope all of that is over when we head that way the end of May....really nice shots.
Oh you poor thing.
But, erm, keep it down THERE please!
heh
That's what they always say about the weather here too but at least we didn't get 6 inches of snow today. My heart goes out to you :)
My husband thought it looked like six inches and I thought it was more. I didn't realize we were under a Winter Storm Warning until 9:00 a.m. tomorrow! It doesn't seem like it has slacked up yet. Well...as you said...it is Springtime in the Rockies!
Oh dear! That is not fun at all, especially when it's that really heavy wet stuff! It sure is pretty though. Stay warm and safe!
Oh no! That is just awful!! I love the geraniums looking out the window, happy to be inside on such a snowy day. Here's hoping it ends soon and spring comes to stay for good!
Glad the snow waited until we left Colorado last Saturday! We went up into the mountains a little ways and there weren't many signs of springtime up there with all the snow on the ground. Hope it comes and goes soon!
Good grief! You would have thought that much snow would be over for the year. That wood stove looks great and with a nice pot of tea :)
It looks so cozy! It was cold here in Phoenix too...the skies really looked like a snow sky as well...
oh sad to hear about that. weather is really unpredicatble at times
Well, you outdid us there! Your late spring snow is deeper than ours! We got a light dusting the other day that Sara Cat managed to record before it melted.
Hugs,
Anna

Are you kidding me??? And I'm fussing about rain showers!
in my part of the world it is hot
ColoradoLady: I hope, too, that by the end of May it is done snowing!
Pricilla: I'll try my hardest to keep it right here and tell it not to go north to MT! Can't promise anything though.
Ann: Its all melted now so it was fine. LOTS of green grass now!
SocksforMum: I know we got more than 6 inches but it was melting fast and it was a heavy and very wet snow. How much did you get at your house?
trusk4u: Thanks! We did stay toasty warm and plenty safe through this storm.
Lin: The geraniums are a huge pick-me-up! I can't wait to get out in the gardens though!
BeadedTail: In the mountains we really don't have much actual "spring" weather, except that when it does snow it melts quickly.
Tahtimbo: Not here! This kind of snow in March and April are the norm for us.
Waterrose: I'm betting you won't be cold in Phoenix for much longer and you'll be wishing for a bit of cool air in a couple of months!
Imelda: That it is!
Anna: I saw your dusting of snow and chuckled to myself! ;o)
Patrice: Not kidding! So stop your fussing about rain! ;o) (JK)
imelda: Lucky you!
Rafael: hello!
BRRR We also got snow, but not that much!
Don't ya just love springtime in the Rockies?!? It certainly keeps you on your toes doesn't it? Ready for anything at anytime. I am on the other side of the border, but think we get pretty much the same weather! We got a tiny bit of snow last night, not as much as you this time.
BTW...thanks for your song suggestions, I am going to use the first 2, the others I have previously used on my jewelry. So just feel free to let me know when you would like the discount on any item in my shop,(good until Dec. 31) for your effort!
Susan
Spring time snowfalls are always so different from the normal winter stuff as you know that it will melt soon enough and it does not have time to get that driven snow dirty look :)
Always a bright side.
Your cook stove looks so warm and inviting~
These are all such nice photos. I grew up in Vermont and I never thought I would be saying this, but looking at these photos makes me want to spend a winter there - we'll see if I get through it;)
Thanks for advertising on my site today!
