What a lovely photo, you don't need any words for that.

Thank you - yes, I think this photo speaks volumes. In fact, this photo was featured in a llama calendar last year - June's Llama of the Month! Believe it or not, the adult llama isn't the cria's mother - it is one of her "aunts". They all help in caring for the little ones. It is amazing to watch the tender herd dynamics with a new cria.

Oh my gosh, so adorable. One of our llamas is, very likely (said the seller) going to have a cria in February. We are excited beyond all belief. It is Cabernet. I hope she really is with cria, but of course they don't have any signs. It's a waiting game, like my goat, but much less sure. At least my goat is bulging and has udder changes.

Love the water lilies batt too!

Claire: I hope you have a healthy cria. They are such fun to watch! Feel free to email me if you have any questions. Does the female look large? If you can look under her belly, you should be able to see milk veins (ropy looking veins on her stomach) if she is getting close to her delivery date. They will sometimes bag up beforehand, too. They tend to waddle rather than walk, etc. So, be looking for little signs!

Glad you like the water lilies batt. I posted pics on my Ravelry page and right away had someone asking if they were still for sale - she then went to my etsy store and bought one!
