I am Kitten Sitting a Bottle Fed Baby!

Sunday morning we picked up this little orphaned bottle fed kitten to kittensit for a few weeks while her regular foster family is on vacation. I think Jellybean is about 4 weeks old. Her foster family has been wrapping her in a blanket when they feed her and the blanket rubbed most of her hair off so she has that "Yoda" look to her - don't you just love that little mohawk thing she's got going?! And my what big eyes you have!

My two formerly bottle fed boys, Munchkin and Moose, are lavishing Jellybean with attention.
And yesterday the shelter called and asked if I could take in three more orphaned kittens. I initially said no because I cannot imagine having to bottle feed four kittens every day! I did five in Moose and Munchies litter and that was a real challenge! I told them I would have to talk it over and get back to them. After I hung up I decided that if I cleaned the fibers out of the bathroom I could put the three new kittens in there rather than in a crate and figured if they were big enough to be running around outside this guy's house they were old enough to either eat dry kibble or lap KMR out of a bowl. So, I called the shelter back and told them I would take the kittens. I have to wait for the guy to catch them and call me and then I'll go pick them up and bring them home. I'm hoping he doesn't call today though because we have a board meeting tonight and my time is going to be really tight today as it is.

yes, I love too those baby eyes ! I'm checking daily on my 5 stray ones, they have opened their eyes but still not moving around. But they become more beautiful every day. Brenda, you're doing such a fantastic thing for them, God Bless you !

Daisy: Yes, those eyes kind of go wonky sometimes!
Kathy: I think I'm a glutton for punishment! I just can't say no to a kitten in need!
Monica: Glad to hear your little babies are doing well. Would love to see which one you decide to bring into your home!

What a cute baby.
We bottle fed a litter of 7 whose mother died about a week after they were born.
Oh, what a job! They all survived and I found them homes.

Pricilla: Oh Patty - 7 of them?! I pass the "I'm a Trooper" torch off to YOU! So glad you were able to find all of them homes!
Ann: Yes - I picked up two new foster kittens today. They didn't see the third kitten this morning so hopefully something didn't happen to it. I'll post pics tomorrow of the newest kittens.
Waterrose: Thank you! We enjoy being a foster family very much!

Oh Jellybean is adorable! It's so wonderful that you are taking care of her and going to help the others too! I bottle fed two kittens before and it is a lot of work but they are so precious it's so worth it.

I just can't imagine winning a staring contest with Jellybean. Good luck with your newest additions. I caught their photos on Facebook.

Wow, he looks so tiny and fragile... and you're getting three more bottle babies too? Purrs and licks to you!

Lin: She's pretty cute. I'll give her a big smoochie from you!
BT: Yes, they're a lot of work but well worth the efforts!
Tim: Ha - I'd love to see you try! The new kittens are freaking gorgeous! I'll post more on them tomorrow.
Sparkle: She's much tougher than she looks! She looks scrawny without any hair but she's a fighter and is a sweetheart, too. Thanks for the purrs and licks!

You are a good person to take in all those kittens. We have dogs and have thought about fostering but I get too attached and wouldn't want to give them up.
