Happy Caturday!

As you probably know or remember from past posts, we are a foster family for the local no kill animal shelter. We foster young kittens until they are big enough to be spayed or neutered and then adopted. This morning we picked up three kittens from a litter and this is Lily, the little female. I had a really hard time getting any photos of the kittens because they were soooo active all I could get were "action shots" until Lily climbed up my leg. She looks like a little seal point Himalayan only her fur isn't as long. She has the most incredible blue eyes I've ever seen in a cat. I fell in love with this little girl at first sight and know it is going to be really hard to give her up when the time comes. Lily has two brothers, Axel and Julian. Julian is a dark charcoal and black kitten with green eyes and Axel is a lighter charcoal gray with deep blue eyes. Of course, you'll see more photos and hear more about their antics over the next few weeks!

Lily is precious! I just blue eyed kittens since my Angel has blue eyes. Come to think of it, I love any kitten!

I'm so JEALOUS, Brenda...I love kittens, just adore them....I wish I could foster, too, but I just don't think my cats and dog would put up with new kids around???

Lin: Oh yes, we'll have fun with them! By the time they're ready to go back to the shelter I'm ready to have my peace and quiet back.

BT: I love blue eyed cats and dogs (see my Annie - she has one ice blue eye) and I'm with you, I love any kitten! But little Lily has really stolen my heart!

Karen: My cats and dogs are very tolerant of our foster kittens. Of course, the kittens stay in the spare bathroom and enjoy supervised play time with the rest of the household only when we have the time to keep an eye on things. Sometimes at first our cats and dogs are bit snippy but they warm up fast enough.

Hi! This is Mary, Tahtimbo's wife. I just wanted to say, if you can get the little female Siamese to Boise, we will adopt her in a heartbeat!! I have long thought that Koko has needed a companion and she would be perfect! Of Course we would name her Yum Yum!

Hi Mary: I'm sure you could fly her anywhere! I don't think she's a siamese though. I think she might be Himalayan or Birman perhaps, but they don't look or act like Siamese, nor do they sound Siamese. And they told me there are two more like her at the shelter - I think from the same litter, but I can only do three at a time (max) before mad mass mahem ensues around here! Your Koko is beautiful and Yum Yum would be a fabulous name. ;o)

Oh my goodness - it's a baby Coco! SO CUTE! Wonderful that you foster. We will get back to it someday when things calm down :)

aha, so a separate room is the key...but for how long? Do you foster until they are adopted? Are they listed for adoption somewhere or is finding a home up to you if you foster?

Hi!
My name is also Lily. Anyway, I like this little Lily and her blue eyes. I have a kitten that look a bit like her. I will try to take sone snaps and publish in my post. In fact, I am supposed to snap all my recent rescued cats/kitten including my own cats and publish them through the net to give away some as I cannot handle too many at the moment since my home is not a Shelter Home for unwanted pets. I started helping and rescued them out of pity. But I cannot carry on with more unwanted cats. These owners need to be educate and learn to be responsible to spay/neuter their pets when they are big enough. They cannot just simply throw as and when they please. By right our Government should fine them and impose a severe law to fine and punish all these uncivilized cruet barbaric people!
Have a great weekend, cheers and come again visit me at my blog as and when you're free. Bye.. Chiow ..
